Anzac Day Ceremony
On Friday April 24, the students from St Andrew's primary school gathered in the school hall to remember all the men and women who have been involved in war and all those who are currently serving overseas in peacekeeping operations.
We listened to prayers and reflected on the great sacrifice these men and women gave for their country and for us. We also prayed for the families of those still involved.
The ceremony concluded with a beautiful and moving song, 'Spirit of the Anzacs' by Lee Kernaghan which was accompanied by images of the Anzacs.
Around the hall were posters that the year 6 students had made when researching a soldier from Gallipoli.

A huge congratulations to Hali, who has been selected in the MacKillop Rugby Union team after representing the Parramatta Diocese at the MacKillop Rugby Union Trials in Forbes last weekend. π This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to Hali's hard work and dedication to the sport. Year 1 has been inspired by The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires! After reading the story, students worked in groups of 2β4 to design and build their own magnificent creations using concrete building materials.
