Recently, the students in the primary grades competed in the Dance Fever competition at the State Sports Centre at Homebush.
The students had been practicing their dance moves every week in their lessons at school.
The Year 4 team were the winners of the group dance. The other teams narrowly missed out on a win.

๐งฆโฝ SOCKTOBER AT ST ANDREWโS! ๐๐ What a fantastic day celebrating Socktober! Our students and staff came together for a day of faith, fun and action, supporting Catholic Mission and raising awareness of children around the world experiencing poverty. ๐ Each class participated in a special Socktober liturgy, making time for prayer and reflection. ๐งฆ Students proudly wore their favourite socks, bringing plenty of colour to the day! โฝ The excitement continued with a friendly Staff vs Students soccer match. ๐ At lunchtime, we turned up the music and kicked off a dance party with the opening hit Jerusalema! There were plenty of smiles and dancing feet! Socktober reminds us that small actions can make a big difference. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped put our faith into action! ๐๐

๐ A fantastic result for Stage 2 Touch Football! ๐๐ Congratulations to our Stage 2 boysโ and girlsโ touch football teams, who both finished the day as POOL WINNERS! Both teams demonstrated fantastic teamwork, skill and sportsmanship throughout the day. It was wonderful to see our students giving their best, supporting one another and representing St Andrewโs with such pride. This service provides students across our LGA with access to dental and optometry services right here at school. A big thank you to the families who have taken up this opportunity. ๐๐ค Yesterday, many of our Year 6 students attended St Andrews College for their Year 7 Orientation day! We are so proud of our students as they prepare to graduate from primary school this term and take their exciting next steps into high school! It has been wonderful to see them grow, learn and develop throughout their primary years, and we are so excited for all the opportunities that lie ahead. As we support them through this special transition, we look forward to celebrating their achievements and preparing them for this exciting new chapter! ๐๐

๐ Australian Mathematics Competition โ Congratulations, Year 5! ๐ A huge congratulations to our Year 5 students who participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) last term! ๐ Our students tackled a series of challenging mathematical problems that stretched their reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They demonstrated fantastic focus, perseverance and grit, achieving awards ranging from Proficiency through to Distinction. The competition challenged students to think beyond familiar classroom problems, and we are incredibly proud of the way they embraced the challenge and represented our school. Well done to all our Year 5 mathematicians!
