Parental involvement

St Andrews Primary welcomes the involvement of parents in the life of our community. Children love seeing their family interested and involved in their school, and we welcome any time you have and any help you can offer.

The following are some of the areas where parent volunteers are needed:

  • welcome morning tea
  • Mothers & Fathers Day stalls
  • athletics and swimming carnivals
  • school raffles
  • class helpers
  • excursions

Please note that all volunteer workers in schools are required to undergo child protection training.

Parents & Friends Association

The purpose of the association is to:

  • support and foster the aims and objectives of Catholic education at St Andrews Primary
  • develop effective two-way communication between home and school
  • give public expression, when the occasion arises, on matters affecting Catholic education
  • provide financial assistance for school resources
  • fundraise to assist in the supplying of school equipment
  • assist in the development of the school community through the organisation of social functions
  • provide a forum where matters of common interest may be discussed

Volunteer Training

We welcome the contribution volunteers make to the life of our school.

As we are committed to keeping students safe, all volunteers in schools are required to complete the building child safe communities undertaking form and child protection training module before volunteering. These checks reduce potential risk and forms part of our strategy to build child safe communities.
