Speedy runners
On Wednesday September 2, the infants children had their annual sports carnival.
It began with a march to the oval, followed by running races and novelty events.
There was lots of colour, streamers and cheering!
The winning house was Lawson, closely followed by Cook, then Macquarie and Sturt.
A fun day was had by all!

The Socktober Day highlight was the Staff versus Year 6 students soccer game! Staff won the game with 3 to 1. However the Year 6 teams didn't make it easy! The crowd were divided, some cheering for the staff and some cheering for the students!β½οΈππ₯

Thank you everyone for supporting Socktober Day! We raised funds for the community in Zambia to help them combat a severe hunger crisis. The total amount donated was an incredible $2716! Socktober for Mission Month cultivates the passion of students to rise up and take action against poverty through the world game of soccer. Students were able to create their own sock soccer balls, participate in a liturgy, listen to Irene (from Catholic Mission) tell us about her experience in Zambia and participate in different soccer activities during recess. There was also an epic soccer match, Staff vs Year 6 students, but that deserves another post! π½πβ½οΈ

Tomorrow is Socktober day and World Children's Day! We are raising money for the children of Zambia, so that they can have a right to basic needs like food and education. To raise awareness, the staff will be playing a soccer game against the year 6 students. They have already been training hard for this game! ππβ½ π

Some of our students from Kinder to Year 2 participated in an after school Wanderers Soccer Clinic over the past four weeks. They learnt new skills and enjoyed taking part in a variety of fun activities each week. The students were also lucky enough to have Nate Barrie from the Western Sydney Wanderers visit during their final session!
